It is so hard to beleive that it is already March and St. Paddy’s day to boot! Where is the time going? I have spent much of this past month working on treats for my class, completing my book and getting it ready for a publisher and spending some quality time with my family. It seems to me that the years just seem to be going faster and faster. We are now looking at colleges for our fourth child which is so unreal to me. I am attaching a couple of fun photos of the little craft that the Leprechauns leave for my class. It is always fun to see their faces when those naughty little guys make a mess in my classroom. Kindergarten is so magical.
Today I am cutting out 110 stencils for a fundraiser! Some times I think I am a bit crazy! In the long run I know it is all worth it and that the end results make up for the crazy days. I enjoy being busy and creating so I believe that is what keeps me going. Giving back to our communities is such an important thing to do not only for our selves but to teach our children that giving back does not only mean handing over money. It is such a valuable lesson to teach our children that time and talents are also something that should be given as often as possible. I love what I do so it makes it easy. Today however will be long but productive! Words on Wood for The Westlake High School PTA Scholarship Fund.
As I start on this new adventure I am quite hesitant abouthow to begin, but then I remember that I always tell my children that they should just start and figure it out later, so I guess that is what I will do! As many of you know I am a crafter! I love any form of art and enjoy creating any chanceI can get. To me spending time creating anything is a stress release. It is a way to give myself the time to enjoy the arts. People often say to me “Do you ever sleep?” The answer is yes most definitely! As soon as I sit down I fall asleep! Haha!
My crafting is my addiction. It is a release. A way to express myself and make others happy. If I can create something for someone and it makes them smile than I am happy. My problem is I do not know how to say no. I consider every request a challenge. For good or bad I love a challenge!
